Done with Accutane!

Hello readers, I am pleased to announce that I am finished with my second round of Accutane (and hopefully my last)!

I contracted an ear infection 2 weeks ago that built up so much pressure that it perforated my eardrum. This was honestly one of the most painful things that I have ever experienced. I stopped taking my Accutane when my eardrum perforated on doctor's orders and then went to my dermatologist appointment a week after. My derm said that I could just be done with Accutane at that point because my skin is looking fantastic!

I am worried that I will have to go on Accutane again due to having to stop and restart the medication so many times. She said I shouldn't worry though and apparently a lot of people have to interrupt their cycle and start again without it causing skin problems after the treatment. I am hopeful that this will be the case for me. I don't want to start breaking out again soon after stopping the medication.

This means I have been off Accutane for two weeks and so far it has been fine. I had one tiny, tiny little white head on my cheek but it went away after one day.

I will keep this updated if anything changes, but hopefully it will be clear skin from here on out and I won't have anything interesting to say!
